In 1999, Dawn Starks became a Certified Financial Planner™ and launched Starks Financial Group (SFG), a financial planning and investment management firm. In 2022, SFG was acquired
by Mercer Global Advisors, and Dawn shifted into the role of Senior Wealth Advisor.
Throughout her career, Dawn has remained steadfast in her passion and devotion to the financial education of women and young people. In the early days this took the form of doing volunteer educational workshops for a local non-profit, OnTrack Financial Education & Counseling. Later, she also conducted educational sessions for the financial badges for the Girl Scouts in her area.
In 2020, Dawn published a book about financial literacy: Simplify Your Financial Life. She has been a fan and supporter of Funding the Future for the past several years due to our shared mission of helping kids gain early money savvy.
