Celebrating Financial Literacy Month in Wyoming: A Step Toward Empowering Future Generations

We are proud to celebrate the recent proclamation of April as Financial Literacy Month in Wyoming! On Monday, April 7th, the official signing ceremony took place at the State Capitol in Cheyenne, where the state recognized the importance of financial education for our young people. Funding the Future, a Wyoming-based organization, was honored to submit the request for this proclamation and is thrilled to see our state take this important step toward empowering future generations. The signing was attended by a number of financial literacy advocates from area banks, credit unions, and credit union organizations, underscoring the broad community support for this cause.

Financial literacy isn’t just about dollars and cents—it’s about giving young people the knowledge and tools they need to make smart choices, avoid unnecessary debt, and build a confident financial future.

At Funding the Future, we believe every student deserves access to financial education that’s engaging, practical, and impactful. Our mission is to deliver lessons that not only teach money management but also inspire students to take control of their financial futures. Through live musical performances, interactive discussions, and real-world scenarios, we make learning about finance both fun and memorable.

We’re deeply grateful to be part of a community in Wyoming that values financial literacy and recognizes it as an essential investment in our collective future. By focusing on financial education, we’re helping today’s students become tomorrow’s financially confident adults.

Thank you for supporting this vital work and for shining a light on financial literacy this month—and every month. Together, we’re building a brighter, more financially educated future for Wyoming and beyond.
