Meet Our Team


Cheryl Dunakin

Booking Director

Prior to joining Funding the Future as their Booking Agent in April 2020, Cheryl spent the last 15 years working with a commercial real estate company.

She started in the accounting department as an accounting clerk helping with corporate accounting, property management accounting, and payroll functions. She eventually made her way to the property management department as an Assistant Property Manager helping manage multiple, multi-tenant commercial properties. 

Cheryl received her Associates of Arts degree from the University of Maine at Bangor in Liberal Studies with the Magna Cum Laude distinction in 2001. In 2015, Cheryl received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of South Florida in Interdisciplinary Social Sciences with the Magna Cum Laude distinction.


Coming from a family that lived paycheck to paycheck, Cheryl understands the struggles to make every dollar count. And like so many others, it took making financial mistakes early in life to learn the importance of financial literacy. That is why Cheryl jumped at the opportunity to join Funding the Future. She knows how important it is to teach young people about financial literacy early on in life so they can hopefully avoid some of the mistakes she and others made.   


With a big heart and a passion to help, Cheryl donates her time to the local animal shelter and is a frequent blood donor (over 8 gallons). In her spare time, she enjoys doing puzzles, watching her team Manchester City play, and some may say, cleaning and organizing the house.
