Why Stop in April? Financial Literacy should be a Year-Round Priority.

Every April, Financial Literacy Month reminds us how vital it is to equip people—especially young people—with the tools they need to make smart financial decisions. This year, we celebrated with a major milestone: the Governor of Wyoming officially proclaimed April as Financial Literacy Month, recognizing our shared mission and the impact of financial education across the state.

Moments like this affirm the importance of what we do. But they also challenge us to go further. Because while April brings awareness, financial literacy is a lifelong journey—one that doesn’t end when the calendar turns to May.

Why One Month Isn’t Enough

Managing money, building credit, avoiding debt, and planning for the future—these are not one-time lessons. They’re part of a foundation that shapes opportunity, stability, and well-being throughout a person’s life. Yet millions still lack the financial education needed to navigate these realities.

We believe learning about money shouldn’t be confined to just one month a year. It should be ongoing, consistent, and accessible—every month, for everyone.

That’s why our work doesn’t stop in April.

What’s Next: From Summer Fundraising to a Fall Tour

We’re already planning what’s ahead—and we need your help to keep the momentum going.

🌟 WYO Gives – July 16, 2025

This summer, we’re excited to participate in WYO Gives, a 24-hour online fundraising event powered by the Wyoming Nonprofit Network. It’s a powerful statewide initiative to uplift Wyoming’s nonprofits, and Funding the Future is proud to be a part of it.

Mark your calendar for July 16, 2025, and consider making a gift to help us continue our mission. Your support during WYO Gives helps us bring impactful, music-driven financial literacy performances to students across Wyoming and beyond.

🎤 Fall Tour Plans

Our dynamic financial literacy shows are heading back on tour this fall! These live, high-energy performances combine music and storytelling to teach students the basics of budgeting, saving, and financial planning in a way that sticks.

🤝 Partnership Opportunities

We’re actively working with schools, financial institutions, and community organizations to expand our reach. If you want to bring a show to your area, now is the perfect time to start planning.

How You Can Help

Let’s make financial literacy a year-round mission. Here’s how you can join us:

Donate – Support our WYO Gives campaign on July 16 or contribute anytime to help us reach more students.

Sponsor – Partner with us to bring our programs to new communities and amplify your impact.

Host a Show – Help us bring financial literacy to your local schools or organizations through our engaging performances.

Financial literacy is more than a curriculum—it’s a life skill. Let’s keep the message going beyond April, together.

Support the cause. Spread the word. Invest in the future.
